Mandate

To create a vision and corresponding action plan that will support vibrant and prosperous investment and economic climates to position the province and people of Saskatchewan for long-term economic growth.

In meeting its mandate, Action Saskatchewan has decided that the best approach is to be a movement by the people for the people, designed for success by honouring our collective values and instilling feelings of pride and success.  In a positive environment with common vision, we will be empowered.

þ Bring Saskatchewan people together to shape a shared vision for our second century.
þ Build partnerships and relationships to create spirit for positive change in our socio economic landscape.
þ Form a Steering Committee to oversee the project.
þ Form a Joint Research Committee to oversee pre-Gathering research.

Status Update

Gathering 2005 has been planned for October 26 and 27 in Saskatoon.  The Steering Committee and Joint Research Committee have spent almost a year preparing and conducting pre-gathering research.

Gathering 2005 is a major milestone and turning point.  After years of preparation we will soon create, communicate, and enact a plan that we built together.  One that is designed to empower each and everyone one of our citizens with personal and provincial pride, can-do attitudes, attainable goals, and feelings of success.
